Project Background
As a global leader in chemical production, BASF operates in multiple sectors across Mexico. However, they lacked a centralized digital platform to visualize, manage, and optimize the location of their production plants and facilities. Their teams were making expansion and logistics decisions based on fragmented data. AmpleMax collaborated with BASF to develop a digital mapping and analytics tool that would centralize data, reveal strategic opportunities, and strengthen operational decisions.
We helped BASF strategically map their national production network, enabling smarter decisions for distribution, operations, and market expansion.
Objectives
Map all BASF production sites across Mexico with critical attributes.
Provide visibility for logistics, distribution, and expansion planning.
Enable data-driven conversations between operations and strategy teams.
Identify underutilized facilities or zones with logistical inefficiencies.
Establish a replicable model for other LATAM markets.
Key Features Delivered
Btracker – Industrial Mapping Edition
Interactive national map with geo-referenced facility data
Filters by region, sector, capacity, infrastructure
Performance data overlay: cost, delivery time, utilization
Exportable maps and reports for internal planning
Role-based access for different departments
